Unit 17 is a one-person indie studio based in Ottawa, Canada. Founded by Arjun Arun — a security professional, car enthusiast, and dad of two — with a simple belief: great software doesn't need a big team. It needs the right person, obsessing over the right problem.

The name comes from the people who matter most. Every digit in 17 is someone in this family. That's not a gimmick — it's a reminder of who we're building for.

From Al Ain, UAE to Cochin, India to Ottawa, Canada — a long road that shaped a very particular taste for things that are precise, purposeful, and a little unexpected.

A good product in people's hands beats a perfect product that never ships. We move fast, release early, and iterate relentlessly on real feedback.
